liner notes
we don't know much about tyson brinacombe. everything we know about him comes straight from the music he plays.
a few months ago, we learned that he likes to eat healthy food and then rap about it (check out his song three meals a day from the uylf001 compilation).
here he returns with an ep on which he combines squelchy synths, crunchy drum machines and electric guitars with some irresistible pop hooks. so what do we know about mr. brinacombe after listening to tyson and his game boy?
well, we know he's averse to vowels and lowercase letters... although the occasional E is ok, apparently.
we know he does a mean ELO cover (SKLTN & RDBT). jeff would be proud.
we know that the only thing better than one tyson is a wall of tysons harmonizing , as on most tracks here.
we know he can get all anthemic when he has to (DNT LV ME).
we also know this is loads of fun, and gets better every time you play it. here's the fine print:
recorded by Tyson Brinacombe at 4th Floor Labs Summer 2010
all songs by Tyson Brinacombe besides #1 by J. Lynne
recorded with Protools LSDJ and Guitar Rig.

Now that was a lot of fun. Beautifully-sized chiptune-infused doses of pop goodness. Seriously good work - I thoroughly enjoyed this. It'll be on my playlist for a while to come.

I like chiptunes, I like pop music, and I don't think I've ever heard the two merged so well before. Brilliant stuff.
